It was a clean 130-meter heart-lung shot across a defile (Cairngorms, East Highlands, Perthshire, Scotland). Yet, this 6-point red stag had enough adrenaline as he expired to dash off a bluff and tumble to the stream below. This obviously complicated the extraction. No matter, we formed a plan and got the beast to the larder. All’s well that ends well.
